No wonder Obama's people wanted him to speak at this particular time of day in Berlin. Look at the way the "magic hour" lighting enhances his stage presence. Sure, he's saying all the right things -- and saying those things very effectively -- but, my God, what a showman he is. And I mean that as a compliment.
Sure beats the hell out of someone answering important questions in front of a cheese display
I hear tell the magic hour lighting you mention was also exploited during George W. Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech. The McCain explanation of the explanation of the explanation of "surge" should go down in history. You can actually watch his brain trying to hide somewhere.
Another thing that impresses me about Obama here is that I can't catch him glancing at notes or a telepromter at all. Could he -- gasp! -- actually KNOW what he wanted to say?
