Thai actress Chotiros Suriyawong caused quite a stir when she appeared in a skimpy black dress at the Feb. 9 Golden Swan awards ceremony, Thailand's equivalent of the Academy Awards. Unfortunately, officials at Thammasat University -- where the 22-year-old Suriyawong is a liberal arts major -- were not so amused. Which is why, as punishment for making such a titillating spectacle of herself, she's been ordered by the university to do 15 hours of community service (reportedly, she'll be reading to the blind) and make a public apology for her attire.Actually, I think the producers of the Oscarcast should hire her immediately as a fashion consultant.
